Biography

Annamaria Cucinotta is Confirmed Assistant Professor at the Information Engineering Department of the University of Parma.

She teaches the Course of "Photonic Devices" for the Laurea Magistrale Course in Telecommunication Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Parma, Italy.

A. Cucinotta is co-founder of the academic spin-off  “Net Integra Consulting”. The spin-off is involved is many design and consulting activities on electromagnetic fields.

From 1999 she is in charge of the Laboratory of Optical Components at the Department of Information Engineering.

From  1999 to  2002 she was a Post-doc researcher at the Information Technology Dep., University of Parma.

In  1999 she received the Ph.D. degree in Information Technology discussing a Ph.D. thesis with the title "Modelling and Experimental Characterization of Rare-Earth Optical Amplifiers".

From 1995 to  1998 she was a Ph.D. student at the Information Engineering Department of the University of Parma, under the supervision of Prof. M. Zoboli.

In 1995 she obtained a fellowship for the X-ray analysis of materials for electronics from CNR (National Research Council).

In 1995 she received the Laurea degree in Physics "cum laude" discussing a thesis with title "EXAFS spectroscopy in Complex Systems".
